Pick Canals for order entry plus AP and PO tracking from one vendor, especially at an electrical, plumbing or HVAC distributor on Eclipse or Prophet 21. Pick Proton.ai for order and quote entry on the same platform as your CRM, product data and ecommerce. Pick Conexiom for high-volume order and invoice capture across its 40+ supported ERPs. None of the three publishes a price.
Morsa publishes this guide. It is not one of the three; it appears once, at the end, for buyers whose problem starts after the order. Every vendor fact was read on the vendor’s own site, or in the trade press where noted, on 12 October 2026.
Who each fits
Canals: a North American distributor in electrical, plumbing, HVAC or industrial supply that wants sales, AP and purchasing work from one vendor.
Proton.ai: a distributor that wants order entry, CRM, product data and ecommerce on one data layer.
Conexiom: a large or multi-ERP distributor whose main job is turning high volumes of orders and invoices into clean ERP data.

Which is best for an electrical distributor on Eclipse?
All three list Epicor Eclipse, so the ERP alone does not decide it. The published electrical proof does.
Canals has the most. Its AD page reads “Preferred AI Provider for AD Members” and “Trusted by 50+ AD Members.” Its May 2026 release names DSG, which serves electrical, HVAC, plumbing and waterworks customers. In it Paul Kennedy, DSG’s CEO and then chair of the board of the National Association of Electrical Distributors, said: “Canals is now our gold standard for how technology can continue driving the business forward.” The same AD page quotes United Electric: “Canals is a force multiplier for United Electric.”
Conexiom expanded its Epicor partnership on 14 July 2026 to reach Eclipse and Prophet 21 users, and cites “hundreds of joint customers” with Epicor.
Proton.ai lists Eclipse, but the customers quoted on its homepage are industrial, building products, dental and other distributors; we found no electrical distributor named on the pages we read.
Verdict: Canals, then Conexiom if your order volume is very high.
Which handles the most ERPs?
Conexiom, by its own count. Its homepage claims “Pre-built, native integrations with 40+ ERPs” and “Zero ERP changes” required, and its logo strip runs from Prophet 21, Eclipse and Epicor Kinetic to Infor, Dynamics 365, NetSuite, Sage X3, SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.
Proton.ai names six connectors (Prophet 21, Eclipse, Infor SX.e, SAP S/4HANA and ECC, NetSuite, IBM AS/400) and adds “20+ others,” which puts it at 26 or more if each counts.
Canals lists 14 entries, including AS400, Bizowie, SHIMS and “Custom ERP,” and says its team “can typically build an integration for you in just a few weeks” for a system not on the list. It also lists Outlook, Teams, RingCentral and Front for the messages that carry orders.
A count is not a fit. Ask each vendor whether its connector writes orders into your exact ERP version, or only reads data, and how long that took for its last customer on the same system.
Which covers AP and PO tracking?
Canals covers the most of the back office. Beyond order entry it sells accounts payable, accounts receivable and statement reconciliation, and its homepage shows “96% touchless invoice processing.” For purchasing, its PO tracking “reads” each order acknowledgment, updates the PO’s ship dates and quantities, and flags discrepancies, and its receipt tracking matches packing slips to POs. The PO tracking page says you can “Get up-and-running in under a week.”
Conexiom covers the documents. Its Epicor release lists “request for quotes, sales orders, AP invoices, vendor acknowledgements, and more,” turned into ERP data. It does not describe chasing a supplier or following a date change through to customers.
Proton.ai does neither today. Its product list is CRM, PIM, eCommerce AI and Order & Quote Entry AI, with Inventory AI and Pricing AI marked “Coming soon.”
If AP and PO tracking matter as much as order entry, Canals is the only one of the three built for all of it.
Which goes live fastest?
On published figures, Canals. Its homepage shows “2 weeks from kickoff to go-live,” with a plan of “Day 1: Sync” and “Week 1: Launch,” and says the ERP integration “takes only about an hour or two of your IT team’s time on average.” Conexiom states a “30-day average” implementation, “Not 30 months.” Proton.ai publishes no implementation time on the pages we read; its order and quote entry page asks buyers to talk to its team for pricing and implementation details.
These are each vendor’s own numbers, not independent measurements, and none says what counts as live. A go-live with one branch and ten customers is not the same as all branches on every order type. Ask for the date in writing, the scope that date covers, and a reference customer on your ERP who went live in the last six months.
Where does Morsa fit if your problem is after the order?
All three get the order into the ERP. The loss often comes later, when a supplier moves a ship date and the customer hears on the day. Morsa, an AI COO for operations, reads that signal, such as a supplier email, a message or a moved date in the ERP, finds every order and customer it touches, chases the supplier, updates the customer, and closes the item on proof, such as a goods receipt in the ERP. It also handles order entry and quoting, but that is not where it is strongest. People keep working in the email, Teams or WhatsApp threads they already use.
Built and proven in manufacturing, now onboarding our first distributors. At J4S, a 120-person glass plant, on-time completion of about 900 commitments went from about 30% to about 75% in four weeks. Sunil K Verma, J4S’s Plant Head: “I used to spend the first hour of every morning reconstructing yesterday. Now the chasing happens in the WhatsApp groups my supervisors already use, whether or not I remember.”
