COVERED GOODS

Certain products of Canada set forth in Annex II. The Federal Register publishes the Annex II as images, so the HTS lines are not listed here; see the source.

EXCLUSIONS

As first proclaimed, the duty did not apply to goods subject to Section 232 duties or to civil aircraft articles (except unmanned aircraft). From September 15, 2026 (Proclamation 11064) it applies in addition to Section 232 duties, and Annex I, Part B of 11064 removes some products. Products moved to the import ban (Proclamation 11061) that were imported before September 29, 2026 but not yet entered pay the 50 percent duty.

WHAT TO DO (OUR GUIDANCE, NOT LEGAL ADVICE)

If you import food, beverage or other consumer products from Canada, check the product lists in the annexes of Proclamations 11046 and 11064 (published as images; CBP's CSMS messages list the HTS numbers) and whether a product moved to the import ban on September 29, 2026.
