USTR increases Section 301 tariffs on five China-origin HTSUS subheadings covering certain tungsten products, polysilicon and wafers. The increases apply to covered goods entered or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption on or after January 1, 2025.

COVERED GOODS
China-origin goods in HTSUS 8101.94.00, 8101.99.10 and 8101.99.80 for certain tungsten products are raised to 25 percent. HTSUS 2804.61.00 for high-purity silicon and 3818.00.00 for doped chemical elements or compounds in discs, wafers and similar forms are raised to 50 percent.

The December 16, 2024 notice raises 8101.94.00, 8101.99.10 and 8101.99.80 (tungsten) to 25 percent under new heading 9903.91.11 and moves 2804.61.00 and 3818.00.00 out of List 3 note 20(f) to 50 percent, all from January 1, 2025, and corrects heading 9903.91.08 to add the 100 percent medical gloves duty from January 1, 2026; USTR's May 6, 2026 notice lists 89 FR 101682 among the modifications currently in effect, and the December 2025 semiconductor action (0 percent until June 23, 2027) is additional to, not a change of, these rates.
