COVERED GOODS
All articles that are products of Canada, except Canadian energy or energy resources receive a separate 10 percent rate and articles covered by 50 U.S.C. 1702(b) are excluded.
EXCLUSIONS
Goods loaded onto a vessel or in transit on the final mode of transport before 12:01 a.m. eastern time on February 1, 2025 are not subject to the additional duty if the importer certifies to CBP. Articles encompassed by 50 U.S.C. 1702(b) are excluded.
WHAT TO DO (OUR GUIDANCE, NOT LEGAL ADVICE)
Identify Canadian-origin SKUs and whether any qualify as energy or energy resources. For goods already moving before February 1, 2025, confirm whether the importer can make the required CBP certification.
